Kitsune-Gari Judokwai Named Finalist for the MK Inspiration Awards 2026
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Kitsune-Gari Judokwai is officially a finalist for the Inspiring Local Team award at the Milton Keynes Inspiration Awards 2026! This incredible milestone is a direct result of the wonderful nominations from our amazing community. We want to extend a massive, heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate us and support our dojo.
As a 100% volunteer-run club, being recognised on this scale means everything to our sensies, members, and families.
Double the Pride: Celebrating Sensei Mick Bourke
The good news doesn't stop with our team. We are also incredibly proud to share that our very own Sensei Mick Bourke received an official nomination for the Inspiring Male Fitness Coach award!
While he didn't quite make the final shortlist this year, having his tireless dedication, passion, and mentorship recognised by the community is a massive achievement. Thank you, Sensei Mick, for everything you do to inspire us on and off the mat!
The Big Night is Approaching!
The Milton Keynes Inspiration Awards celebrate the unsung heroes, charities, and sports teams making a real difference across our city. This year's event has seen record-breaking participation with over 25,000 public votes cast! So for us to be a finalist is an incredible achievement.
The grand finale will take place on Saturday, 20th June 2026. The awards ceremony is a prestigious black-tie event, quite different to our usual Gis! We cannot wait to put on our finest attire and stand proudly as your Inspiring Local Team finalists.
A Final Thank You
Whether you are a past competitor, a parent watching from the sidelines, a regular at our open mats, or simply someone who believes in what we do—thank you. You are the reason we step onto the tatami every week. We are so proud to build something special for Milton Keynes, and we will carry the Kitsune-Gari spirit with pride at the awards ceremony!
